Text of Ricardo J. Rodrigues on "Amor Cachorro" exhibition (only available in Portuguese):
Amor cachorro
No dia em que desapareceste eu não conseguia dizer. Tu é que sabias quem eu era. Mergulhei fundo. Fiz-me transparente, transpareci-me. Tu tinhas dito para sempre. Quanto? Morrer, quase. Nem conseguir tirar os olhos do salto da agulha. Cachorro. Deixaste-me encruzilhada, sem direcção. Farejei-me ao espelho, era baço. Reflexo opaco, estou mesmo? Ah, chorei de mais. Foi. E aí eu virei fera. Quis holofote, embriagar-me na luz. Foco na cara, palco no corpo, eu ia ser monarca outra vez. Agora eu vou sair do poço, vou conquistar a noite. Ouviste bem? Vou vingar-me. Ouviste? Fala comigo.
Ricardo J. Rodrigues' original manuscript, purchased by Luis Trindade on the exhibition's opening day, for 5 euros.
