How to send information
Take as much photos of your item as possible, covering all details, and send them to P4photography, using our online consignments form or email info@p4photography.com along with a thourough description about the work and any additional information you might find valuable.
When and Where to Sell
P4photography conducts auctions in Europe. A specialist will discuss with you the best period and place to sell your property.
Consigning
The consignment forms serve as your contract. Our specialists will recommend you a catalogue estimate range and discuss with you the reserve values we recommend for the property.
Additional Charges
P4photography charges a seller commission. Charges for catalogue photography, property transport may also apply. These will be arranjed with our specialists, depending on who will be consigning the property.
Payment
The seller will receive a sale result form indicating the hammer price, minus the seller's commission and any applicable additional charges. Payment to the seller will be made thirty-five (35) working days after the auction date.
Buying
The Bid Department offers various methods of buying at auction: in person, absentee bidding, via telephone and through the Internet. You will need to sign up for each auction or simply attend the sale if you plan to bid in person. New clients do not need to set up an account before bidding as one will be created for you upon initial registration.
In Person
If you are able to attend the auction, you may bid in-person. Please ask for a paddle in advance by filling out our pre-registration form.
Absentee and Telephone Bidding
If you cannot attend to an auction and wish to bid, you can complete the bid form for either Absentee or Telephone Bidding and fax completed form to +351 213621894 or trough e-mail info@p4photography.com. For Absentee Bids, P4photography will execute your bid(s) and attempt to purchase the lot for you at the lowest price, allowing for other bids and reserves. For Telephone Bids, we will contact you during the sale, and a saleroom representative will bid live with you over the phone. All bid amounts do not include the Buyer's Premium and any applicable sales tax.
Online Bidding
Trough our system P4 Live Auctions, you can make real time bidings during the auction. Please register at http://www.p4photography.com/auctions . Upon a successful registration, you will receive a user name and password. Please allow at least 24 hours to process your online bidding application. If you are allready register at P4 Live Auctions, please submit your register sale.
Buyer's Premium
This is the amount of money automatically added to the "hammer price" and paid by the winning bidder.
- in person: 18,15% (including VAT)
- Internet: 22.5% (including VAT)
In addition, the buyer must pay all applicable Portuguese Taxs.
Reserve value
Most lots sold at auction are subject to a reserve, which is the lowest price the consignor will sell the property for. The reserve price is confidential information and only known to the consignor and P4photography. The reserve price is fixed below or at the low estimate cited for the lot in the catalogue.
Buyers are urged to read P4photography Terms and Conditions of business prior to bidding at any auction.
